Tour Description

Day 1: Sunset and Starry Night at Salar de Uyuni
Pick-up from Uyuni airport or terminal and transfer to a 4-star hotel located on the salt flats. The morning and early afternoon are free for rest or exploration. In the late afternoon, begin the Sunset and Starry Night tour. Reach a designated vantage point to observe the Milky Way and capture photos under a clear starry sky. Tour ends around 10 pm with transfer back to the salt hotel.

Note: During the rainy season (December to May), a thin water layer creates a mirror effect over the flats. Tours operate year-round except during full moons when starlight visibility is limited.

Day 2: Train Cemetery, Colchani, Incahuasi Island and Salt Flat
After hotel pick-up, visit the Train Cemetery to see abandoned locomotives. Continue to Colchani, a local community with rustic salt workshops and a salt microprocessor. Proceed to the Salar de Uyuni stopping at salt extraction areas, salt eyes (natural water wells), and Playa Blanca salt hotel museum. End the day at Incahuasi Island where you can hike among cacti, marine rock fossils, and enjoy panoramic 360° views. Return to the salt flat hotel in the evening.

Day 3: Departure
Transfer from the hotel to Uyuni bus station or airport to conclude the tour.
