Description
The tour begins with an 8 AM pickup from your lodging and transfer to Amboró Park. Upon arrival, you will visit ecotourism cabins located within the park’s integrated economic development area, where the local community practices sustainable activities. There will be a short break and lunch prepared by a local cook.
Accompanied by a local guide, the group starts a hike through the forest. After about an hour, you enter the conservation area, where guides share knowledge about important local animal and plant species as well as recent community history. Keep watch for wildlife sightings throughout the hike.
The route includes crossing a river and walking through areas offering forest views. It is recommended to bring a change of T-shirt and sandals suitable for water walking, plus a swimsuit for swimming in natural pools.
In the evening, enjoy a dinner prepared by a local cook, then rest at the cabins or tents on-site.
On the second day, after breakfast, the group will explore a new forest trail featuring vantage points, waterfalls, and natural pools. Following lunch, you will return to Santa Cruz with transportation back to your accommodation.
Note: The itinerary order may be reversed between the first and second day.
