Korean Restaurants in Bolivia

If you didn’t expect Korean food to have a spot in Bolivia’s dining scene, you’re not alone. But, especially in La Paz and Santa Cruz, you’ll find a handful of places where Korean expats and local fans meet around steamy bowls of bibimbap or sizzling galbi.

One of my favorite spots? Seoul Kimbap in La Paz’s Zona Sur. It’s not fancy, but the kimchi there tastes exactly like what you’d get in Seoul. Plus, it’s a chill place to hang out after a day wandering the markets. And heads up , during the dry season, between May and October, it’s perfect weather to combine a walk around the neighborhood with a spicy Korean stew.

Santa Cruz quietly holds a few favorites too. Do not miss Bulgogi House near Equipetrol if you crave tender marinated meats and homemade pancakes. Don’t expect a huge menu; these places are more about quality than quantity. And if you’re wondering about the vibe, some restaurants feel more Korean than Bolivian, with owners who make you feel like you just stepped into a little part of Seoul. So, if you want a break from salteñas and silpanchos, Korean spots here offer comfort food with a twist.
