Description

Begin your tour by leaving Uyuni City for Salar de Uyuni (full day trip) at 10:30 a.m. with a visit to the Uyuni 'train cemetery' to see the first locomotives in Bolivia. Then visit the small settlement of Colchani (salt miners' workshops), see crafts made of salt and textile art made of llama and alpaca. Take photos as you navigate the vast expanse of white salt. Next, visit 'Ojos de Agua Salada' and a hotel made entirely of salt that is currently used as a museum. Lunch will be served near 'Incahuasi Island', then have time to hike to the top of the island to see giant cacti and rock formations made of petrified coral. Take the time to organize your group for a fun perspective and distorted photos on the blinding white surface of the salt flats. Then, head to a spacious area for the unique experience of watching a beautiful sunset over the salt flats.
