Description
Depart La Paz early morning on a guided two-day trip that includes Lake Titicaca boat travel and visits to Copacabana, Yumani, and Isla del Sol, where you will stay overnight. Enjoy views of the cobalt blue lake and surrounding snow-capped mountains while exploring the land of the Inca.
The journey begins on a Peru Hop luxury bus traveling to the Tiquina viewpoint, offering panoramic views of Lake Titicaca, situated at 3,812 meters above sea level. Next, take a ferry to Copacabana, the main Bolivian town on the lake’s shore near the Peruvian border.
From Copacabana, transfer to a speedboat for the crossing to Isla del Sol, known as the birthplace of the Inca Sun God. In the afternoon, explore Yumani on the island’s south coast, visiting the Sol Pilko Kaina temple and observing Inca architecture details.
After an overnight stay on the island, the following day is free until 15:30, allowing time to visit the northern side of Isla del Sol, including the Golden Museum and the Inca Fountain of Youth. In the afternoon, return by boat to Copacabana where there is time for dinner before catching the bus back to La Paz, arriving around 23:00.
