Description

Day 1 At 11 am we'll meet at the station in Puno and board a luxury train to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca empire. All aboard! We'll leave Puno behind, on the shores of Lake Titicaca, and before lunch, you'll have time to settle into your cabins. You'll also be able to explore the interior of the Andean Explorer train, which has a lounge car, an observatory car and even a SPA. At 1 pm we'll serve you a delicious lunch in the restaurant car. The meal includes a starter, main course, dessert and drink. After replenishing your energy, you'll enjoy a Peruvian cooking class, where you'll learn the secrets of one of the most famous cuisines in the world! Afterwards, we'll arrive at La Raya, the highest point on the road between Puno and Cusco, at 4312 metres (14146 feet) above sea level! At 7 pm we'll have cocktails and canapés at the bar to whet our appetite. A little later, we'll enjoy a gourmet dinner based on traditional local dishes. At 10 pm we'll arrive in Cusipata, where we'll spend the night on the train. See you tomorrow! Day 2 At 5:30 am we'll leave Cusipata in the direction of Cusco. Before the end of the excursion, we'll have an energizing breakfast on board and, at 7:30 am, we'll say goodbye at Wanchaq station. Accommodation The tour includes one night on board the Andean Explorer luxury train. When you book, you'll be able to choose the type of cabin you want to spend the night in: Bunk Bed Cabins: these 5.5 square metre cabins have an en-suite bathroom, 2 single beds that convert into seats, wardrobe, shower, washbasin, toilet, 110v/220v power socket and safe. Twin Bed Cabins: have en-suite bathroom, 2 single beds that convert into seats, wardrobe, shower, washbasin, WC, 110v/220v power sockets and safe. The total area of each room is 7.4 square metres. Suite Cabins: These cabins have a double bed, sitting area with table for 2, wardrobe, bathroom with washbasin, shower and toilet, clothes racks and 110v/220v power sockets and safe. The total area of each room is 13.1 square metres.
