Description

Day 1 We will meet at the Wanchaq station in Cusco at 10:00 am. Once there, we will check in and board the Andean Explorer luxury train to travel across the Peruvian altiplano to the mystical Lake Titicaca, a wonderful journey to the cradle of the Inca Empire! After leaving Cusco, you will have time to settle into your cabins and leave your luggage. Afterwards, you can explore the interior of the luxury train and relax while taking in the views from the observatory car. Photo time! Have you worked up an appetite? At 1:00 p.m. a delicious lunch will be served in the restaurant car and will consist of a starter, main course, dessert and drink - the Peruvian flavors will win you over! At 4:30 p.m. we will arrive at La Raya, the highest point on the road between Puno and Cusco. Did you know that it is located at no less than 4312 meters above sea level? We will accompany the panoramic view with afternoon tea. Before dinner we will toast with cocktails and canapés and, at 7:30 pm, we will enjoy a gourmet dinner a la carte. Finally, at 10:00 p.m. we will reach the Lake Titicaca station in Puno, where we will sleep on board the train until the next day. Day 2 What better way to start the day than watching the sunrise? At 6:00 a.m. we will see the sunrise on Lake Titicaca, an amazing moment! Afterwards, we will have breakfast to get our strength back, and at 9:30 a.m. we will visit the floating island of the Uros. Once there, we will tell you about this set of artificial surfaces built with totora, an aquatic plant that grows in Lake Titicaca. You will be impressed! At 12:30 p.m. we will take a break for lunch at the Puno Muelle hangar. After lunch, we will board the luxury train again and head towards the Saracocha Lagoon. At 7:00 p.m. cocktails will be served on board accompanied by canapés, followed by a delicious dinner, a perfect way to end the day! Day 3 On the third day, we will wake up to contemplate the sunrise over the Saracocha lagoon, an unforgettable sight! At 8:30 a.m. we will have breakfast and head for the Sumbay Caves, did you know that they house the cave paintings of the first humans to inhabit the Peruvian highlands? After this visit, we will make a stop at kilometer 93 for those who want to travel on their own to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world. In addition, this valley is home to the enormous and impressive Andean condor, so you will have the opportunity to see its majestic flight. Lunch will be served on board at 12:30 p.m., and one hour later we will arrive in Arequipa, where we will put an end to this 3-day excursion. Welcome to the White City!
