Explore one of the wonders of Puno with an excursion to the islands of Uros and Taquile on Lake Titicaca, explore the floating islands of the lake and learn more about the lives of the people who live on the islands of the highest lake in the world. Begin your tour with pickup from your Puno hotel or Puno bus station, and head to the pier or main port. The departure begins at 07:30 h and travels to the floating islands of the Uros, currently considered the National Reserve of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Learn about the town of Uros, which still maintains its own culture and tradition, as well as artisanal fishing, especially carachi and silverside. See some of the 75 islands that are inhabited today. Sail by boat for 2 and a half hours, to the natural island of Taquile, during the navigation you will be able to observe the mountain chain. Discover more about the town of Taquile and its famous weavings. Enjoy approximately 2 hours for the visit, a delicious 1-hour typical lakefront meal, before returning to the bus station or your accommodation.Includes
