DAY 1 From the Uyuni Salt Flats to Tahua 7 stops 1 Mundicontact Expeditions Your tour will begin with the pick up from your hotel in Uyuni, bus station or with the pick up from the Uyuni Airport at approximately 10:00 AM. 2 Train Cemetery The Train Cemetery in Uyuni is a great tourist attraction. It is a desolate place full of abandoned railway machinery. Seeing that pantheon of twisted iron and disused locomotives, we think of the glorious past they had at the beginning of the 20th century. 3 Colchani The population of Colchani has 580 inhabitants whose economic activities are linked to salt extraction, agriculture, crafts and tourism. It is the obligatory stopping point on the way to the majestic Uyuni salt flat, one of the peculiarities of the place is the construction of small houses made with salt bricks. 4 Uyuni Salt Flat Your visit will be guided by the following cultural heritage of the Salar de Uyuni: * Salt Stairs: Designed with the purpose of allowing the taking of photographs with special optical effects. An overwhelming saline ensemble loaded with the most authentic beauty. * Dakar Rally Monument and the endless forest of flags: You will observe the flags worldwide, the central symbol of Bolivia, the heart of Latin America. * Salt Pyramid: From this point, you will observe the mountains outlined on the horizon, minimized by the distance and by the majesty imposed by the infinite salt plateau. 5 Incahuasi Island Our guide will accompany you to Incahuasi Island, characterized by being one of the high-altitude islands whose soil is made up of fossils of algae, mollusks and other organisms known as stromatolites. 6 Tunupa Volcano Your tour will continue towards the Thunupa Volcano and its surroundings, with sightings of Andean Flamingos and panoramic views of the Salar de Uyuni. You will learn the history and myths of this mysterious tourist attraction that according to the community there was a time when the mountains walked, talked and had human forms. You will visit the city of Coqueza located at the foot of the Tunupa volcano on the shores of the salt flat. 7 Tayka de Sal After dinner at the Tayka de sal Hotel, you will enjoy a night walk through the Uyuni salt flat to observe the stars of the magical salt desert DAY 2 From Tahua to Uyuni 4 stops 1 Tayka de Sal On the second day of your tour you will be able to observe the sunrise near the Tayka de Sal Hotel 2 Coqueza Canton Your tour will continue with a visit to the Chantani museum and the town of Coqueza. 3 Tunupa Volcano You will visit the mummy cave before descending to the base of the Volcano. 4 Uyuni You will continue your journey towards Uyuni, enjoying snacks along the way, as well as the impressive sunset in the middle of the majestic Uyuni Salt Flats. Finally at approximately 6:30 PM, you will enter Uyuni,
