We came here for alligator fritters. We adore the open air central courtyard, and the little pool with multiple turtles - they are really active and we were enamoured! The service was also fun and attentive. To me, the alligator fritters were tasty but a little too chewy and the fun wore off quite fast. But ticked off the bucket list! The accompany sauce made the pieces go down faster. We also had peanut soup- rather bland and with little taste of peanut . Plantane starter was great.

Delicious Bolivian food with an airy central patio with fountain and plants. It was fairly empty the night I went and the waitstaff were attentive and quick to help with anything I needed. Potato soup was delicious. Mocochinci refreshing. Suribi a la abuela was blander than I expected (the fish) but the sauce and accompanying rice balanced it out well with a stronger flavor to complement the natural blindness of the fish. Was an excellent dining experience - thank you!

I recently dined at El Aljibe with a group of friends, and we had a fantastic experience. The food quality was absolutely great, but what really sets this place apart is the incredible environment. It is so cozy and full of character. A highlight of the interior is the historic, spring-like well (aljibe) right inside the restaurant, which gives it a truly unique and charming atmosphere. Overall, it’s a great place with wonderful vibes and delicious food. Highly recommended!
