Description

Day 1: Route of the Sun Pickup: Begin your journey with pickup from your hotel and transfer to the bus terminal in Cusco. Andahuaylillas: Visit the “Sistine Chapel of Andahuaylillas” to see its stunning murals and intricate artwork. Raqchi: Explore the archaeological site of Raqchi, home to the Temple of Wiracocha. This site is known for its impressive ruins and historical significance. Sicuani: Make a short stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Sicuani, a great opportunity to sample regional cuisine. Paso de la Raya: Enjoy a panoramic stop at this high mountain pass, which offers spectacular views of the Andes. Pukara: Visit the Pukara Lithic Museum, where you can admire pre-Incan pottery and sculptures. Arrival in Puno: Arrive in Puno at around 5:00 PM and transfer to your accommodation. Day 2: Taquile Island Pickup: Get picked up from your hotel at 7:30am and head to the embarkation port. Uros Islands: Explore the floating islands of the Uros, where you’ll get to know the traditional lifestyle and culture of the Uros people. Taquile Island: Visit Taquile Island, known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes. Enjoy a walk through the village and take in the views. Lunch: Have a typical lunch at a local restaurant on Taquile Island. Return to Puno: Return to Puno, where you’ll arrive around 5:00pm.
