😃 Amazing hotel, spacious rooms and a lovely seating area in the room overlooking the outskirts of the salt flats. One of our rooms was lovely and warm, the other less so. Lots of things to do outside - carousel, mini wheel, trampolines, drawing station, fire pits. The buffet breakfast was good and included an egg station - we'd been missing having fried eggs so we thoroughly enjoyed them. ☹️ Main part of the hotel wasn't particularly warm. We had wanted to go in the swimming pool before dinner but the water was cold, as was the spa area.

This hotel offers a stunning view of luxury and class when you enter the lobby. However, entering my room felt like I was walking into a burning sauna. They did send a fan to address the temperature problem of my room. Once in the room, i picked up the phone to call my husband room but the phone was not working. No big deal, I don’t need a land line. We decide to relax by the pool. I dipped my feet in the water and was staying by the edge. When suddenly I got electrocuted by a tea light next to the pool. I informed the staff, but I’m unsure of what happened after. I have never been electrocuted in my life; this life threatening incident was enough to scare me away from the pool. We finish with buffet dinner which was delicious. The staff were wonderful and accommodating to our requests. The buffet was very vegetarian friendly. 5 stars for the dinner experience. I took a shower— The showers had nice pressure and warm water. The hotel offers an onsite medic 24/7 who helped my kids through mild symptoms of altitude sickness. The doctor was wonderful and helpful. I then went to bed. The beds were fluffy and comfortable…until 2 am when the fan turned off. My phone stopped charging. But, curiously, the light remained on. The staff were super nice and tried to address my issues as listed above. For me, nearly getting electrocuted to death and being unable to sleep due to the fan turning off in the muddle of the night is why I don’t give 5 stars. I do want to reiterate the staff were super nice. And the main lobby was constantly cleaned.

I needed to remind myself that sudden changes in altitude can cause altitude sickness and influence reactions to minor inconveniences. That said, overall the hotel did an excellent job! The staff was friendly, patient, and responded well to my pointing out, let’s say, areas that could have been better! All in all it was a fantastic experience that we won’t forget!
