Oscar’s hostel is amazing you will love it. If you’re going to La Paz I highly recommend staying here. Not only are they (all the staff!) super helpful with everything you need but it’s also a great vibe and super chill. Perfect if you’re not a massive party person as well. The views from the roof upstairs are incredible at night. Thank you for everything 🙏🏼🫶🏻
Really nice hostel, friendly helpful staff, clean rooms etc. However beware of booking your tours through them, they are a rip off. I ended up paying around double the normal prices for my tours when I booked through this hostel. But like I said the facilities in the hostel itself were very good
Oscar was such a gracious host! He was really friendly, informative, and helpful. I stayed in the private room, and that was really nice. The showers are actually hot! Location is about 20 minutes from all of the restaurants and such, but really close to the central bus station.
Definitely one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. Not only is the hostel itself beautiful, with an amazing view over La Paz, but the staff truly made the experience exceptional. A special thanks to Oscar and the entire team for their outstanding hospitality and service at all time of the day! From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The atmosphere, facilities, cleanliness, and overall vibe were simply outstanding!
Stayed in a 4 person bunk. Check-in was easy. Oscar was very friendly and earnest. Maybe it was not winter, but the heaters were not deployed, so it did feel a tad cold at times. But when the sun was out, the terrace was a nice place for lunch. There were only 2 showers, and the heaters mostly worked, though there was one time it couldn’t warm up so I skipped a shower that time. It is very near the bus terminal, which is great if you’re thinking of heading on to other places in Bolivia by bus. There are also many inexpensive food options around (I had an excellent burger with fries for only 22 BOBs!!) It is a popular hostel, and there were people arriving late at night. But with only 4 to a room, at least there’s minimal sleep interruption. While someone is on the premises 24/7, please note that unless you make prior arrangements, the main gate is closed from 12-7am (if I recall correctly). Overall, I would recommend it.
