Development in a modern nation. 2 Salar De Uyuni We will continue our trip through the salt flat and visit the Colchani salt refinery, here we will learn about the salt extraction and refining process. A few meters away, we will see the large piles of salt and salt eyes and understand how the extraction process works. 3 Incahuasi Island We will delve deeper into the salary and make our first long stop on Incahuasi Island (entrance fee is 30 Bolivian pesos). This island is one of the few elevated locations in all of the salt flats and is home to a unique environment. We will walk along its trails and see the different species of cacti that inhabit it. As we reach the highest point, we are rewarded with a fascinating panoramic view of the vast desert. The perfect place for some memorable photos 4 Salar de Uyuni After the visit to Incahuasi, we will enter the desert to have lunch together in the middle of the salt flat. The guide will prepare the table and chairs and cook so that we can enjoy the meal with one of the best views possible. 5 Uyuni Salt Flat After lunch, we will continue and make a stop at the first Salt Hotel that was built in the Salt Flat: the Playa Blanca Hotel. Here we can take photographs in front of the famous DAKAR statue. 6 Uyuni On the way back we will stop in a quiet area where we can see the magical sunset on the salt flats before returning to the town of Uyuni, where we will arrive around 7 pm, just in time for you to take the bus back to La Paz in case you need to do it
