Description

Day 1 Departure from the coordinated point at 06:30 in a shared minibus, with a duration of 1 hour to the border. We will proceed with the departure at the Chilean customs and head to Hito Cajón, where the Bolivian border is located. We will enjoy a full breakfast at the border. Upon entering Bolivian territory, we will change to a 4×4 jeep to begin the route. In a few minutes, we will arrive at our first stop, the Laguna Blanca, and the Laguna Verde, located at the foot of the majestic Licancabur Volcano. We will continue north until we reach the Salvador Dalí Desert. The route will continue to the Polques River, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy a comforting bath in its hot springs. We will arrive at the highest point on the entire route, the Geiseres del Sol de Mañana, at 4,960 m.a.s.l. At the end of the day, we will visit Laguna Colorada, where we will enjoy a spectacular landscape inhabited by flamingos and other Andean birds. We will spend the first night in Villa Mar, a refuge located at 3,900 m.a.s.l. Day 2 On this second day of the journey, we will explore various rock formations and canyons, visit the Italia Perdida sector, where we will find famous formations such as the Copa del Mundo or the Camello, and the Laguna Misteriosa. We will go trekking in the Catal Canyon (also known as the Anaconda Canyon for its elliptical formation). After visiting the Valley of Rocks, we will arrive at the Catal Valley, inhabited by indigenous communities dedicated to raising llamas and alpacas. We will visit the town of San Agustín to end the day at the Hostal de Sal in Puerto Chuvica. DAY 3 DEPARTURE FROM THE HOSTAL DE SAL AT 05:00 AM. On the third day we will enter the Salar de Uyuni, a place full of beauty to witness the sunrise. We will travel through the vast white expanse of salt, visiting Incahuasi Island, where we will hike to the top to admire giant cacti and rock formations of petrified coral. We will have time to take fun photos with unique perspectives on the white surface of the salt flat. Then, we will visit the Ojos del Salar and a Salt Museum, made entirely of salt. We will finish by visiting the small town of Colchani before concluding the tour at the Train Cemetery. Afterwards, we will arrive in the City of Uyuni around 2:00 p.m. END OF THE TOUR, ARRIVAL IN THE CITY OF UYUNI AT APPROX. 2:00 p.m.
