Description

Begin your adventure in Uyuni with a visit to the Train Cemetery, a historic site filled with old locomotives. Then, continue to Colchani and the salt factories, where you can learn about salt production in Bolivia. Enter the world's largest salt flat and see the Salt Water Eyes. Stop at the Flags Square, where flags from different countries are displayed. Visit the Dakar Monument and have lunch at the first hotel in the world built entirely of salt. Take creative photos in the Salar de Uyuni before heading to Incahuasi Island, a paradise of giant cacti and coral fossils, with stunning views of the Tunupa Volcano. Enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the salt flat before heading to your accommodation in a hotel with a private room and bathroom. After breakfast, travel to the community of San Juan to buy snacks and use the bathrooms. Then, visit the Ollagüe Volcano, an active and sacred volcano for indigenous communities. Continue to the Altiplano Lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarkota, and Honda, home to pink flamingos, Andean ducks, and seagulls. Lunch will be served near the Hedionda Lagoon. After lunch, venture into the spectacular Siloli Desert, located at 6,000 meters above sea level. Here, you will see the famous Stone Tree and other impressive rock formations. Next, explore the most visited national park in Bolivia and admire the Colorada Lagoon, home to thousands of pink flamingos. Spend the night in Huayllajara in a basic accommodation with a private room and bathroom. Wake up early to have breakfast and visit the Sol de Mañana Geysers, an area of geothermal activity with fumaroles and boiling mud pools. Then, relax in the Polques hot springs. Continue to the Dali Desert, a surreal landscape that resembles the iconic paintings of Salvador Dalí. Then, head to the Green Lagoon, located next to the impressive Licancabur Volcano. If there are travelers continuing to Chile, there will be a stop at the Hito Cajones border for their farewell. Then, begin the journey back to Uyuni, stopping at the Rock Valley, known for its stunning rock formations, and in the town of San Cristóbal, where you can see a 16th-century colonial church. The arrival in Uyuni is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
