Description

To begin the tour you will be picked up from the bus station or hotel in Puno (06:30 am), and then transferred to the port of Puno where Lake Titicaca is located, the highest navigable lake in the world. At this point you will board a boat to first visit the Floating Island of Los Uros which are made of reeds, here the guide will give an explanation about the history of the island and its economic system, and will also appreciate the customs of this island and its crafts. Then you will go by water transport to the Island of Taquile, which has great landscape, ethnic, cultural and archaeological value; Here you can also observe the customs of the population that remain intact even over the years. The men of this island stand out for carrying out the textile activity, which they do with such perfection that they are even impervious to water and have been knowledge that has been transmitted from generation to generation. Later you can enjoy a typical lunch of the area (not included). At the end of the excursion you will return to the port of the city of Puno (4:00 p.m.).
