Descending through the city’s historic streets, you head to the Santa Clara Museum, one of the most mystical places in Sucre. In the upper choir, works by painters such as Bernardo Bitti, Gaspar Miguel de Berrio, and Melchor Pérez de Holguín are displayed, along with cedar wood sculptures. The treasure of the museum is a restored 17th-century organ, which is played on special occasions. Visitors can also explore the crypt where nuns were buried in centuries past, up to 50 years ago. You can also visit the church and stroll through the nuns' cloister.
