Description

We will begin the tour by leaving San Pedro de Atacama and heading towards the Cordillera de la Sal in the Atacama Desert, the driest place on earth, heading towards one of its most picturesque spots: the Valley of the Moon. The names already give a clear clue to the landscape, where rock formations shaped by erosion, salt mantles, the Duna Mayor (Great Dune) and views that will make you feel like you are on another planet reign supreme. We will cross the valley, visiting its famous rock formations: the Tres Marías, the Canyon and the Amphitheatre. To end the tour, we will enjoy the sunset from the Licanantay viewpoint, where you can see how the desert changes colour, with large volcanoes on the horizon, offering a spectacle that will leave you speechless.
