Description

Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Samaipata or meet at the main square. Embark on a scenic 45-minute to 1-hour drive to the trailhead. Upon arrival, start your guided hike. Begin with a gentle uphill trail, leading you through a forest filled with lush vegetation and smaller ferns. As you continue, reach the first viewpoint, offering stunning views of the valleys and the Yunga (Amboró N.P.). After the viewpoint, the trail continues downhill into the area where the Giant Ferns grow. This section takes around 45 minutes or less on the short trail, before returning the same way. In this magical part of the forest, you can relax among towering trees and feel immersed in the heart of the mountains. There are two tour options available: Half-Day Tour: Hike to the Giant Ferns and return on the same path. Full-Day Tour: A complete circuit hike of approximately 5 hours round-trip, exploring deeper into the forest before returning. If you're lucky, you may see some Trogon birds, monkeys, parrots, as well as beautiful orchids and bromeliads.
