Description
Day 1: La Paz to Uyuni Your service begins with pickup from your hotel in La Paz (1 hour before the bus departure time), at which time you will take an overnight bus to Uyuni. The selected bus has reclining seats, a bathroom on board. Day 2: Uyuni to San Juan After a 9-hour bus ride, you will be transferred to the offices, where you will enjoy a delicious breakfast before beginning your tour of the Salar de Uyuni and the colorful lagoons. The first stop is the “train cemetery,” where you can see old, time-worn trains. You will then continue your tour to the “Salar de Uyuni” via Colchani, where you can observe the manual processing of edible salt. Your excursion then continues to visit the salt mounds and the center of the Salar, where you will visit Incahuasi Island, a natural formation of volcanic rock and giant cacti. Your journey then continues to the opposite side of the Salar to San Juan, a town situated on the banks of the Salar where you will spend the night in a comfortable shared room and enjoy a delicious local dinner. Day 3: From San Juan to Laguna Colorada After enjoying a delicious breakfast, your guide will head southwest where you will discover the Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarkota, Honda and Ramadita lagoons. In these places you will be able to observe large numbers of flamingos and other birds, such as Andean geese and seagulls that accompany the flamingos in these lagoons flanked by picturesque snow-capped volcanoes. Your excursion then continues to the 'Laguna Colorada', where you will spend the night in a basic room with warm blankets. After an exquisite local dinner, you will be able to observe the stars and the Milky Way, which are clearly visible because this place is considered one of the cleanest on the planet. Day 4: Lagunas, Uyuni, La Paz On your fourth day you can get up early to go in search of the geysers known as the “Morning Sun”. This will allow you to see the first rays of sunlight in this picturesque area where the volcanoes appear active and emit fumaroles and volcanic activity in small quantities. Continuing your journey, you will travel to the highest point of the route, at about 5,000 meters above sea level. Your journey continues with a visit to Laguna Colorada before continuing towards the “stone tree” and along the highland road to reach the hot springs of Polques. There you can take a hot bath and then cross the Dali desert to reach the green lagoon located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano. You will then return to Uyuni, where along the way you can observe Andean plants and animals of the area before arriving in Uyuni at 17:00. After a short break, you will be transferred to your bus to return to La Paz. Day 5: Peace You will arrive in La Paz at approximately 6:00 AM, the driver will be waiting to pick you up and take you to the Hotel.Includes
