Description
Depart from Uyuni City and head to the salt flats in a 4x4 vehicle. Visit the Train Cemetery, Colchani, and the Uyuni Salt Flats. See the Salt Hotel, the Dakar Monument, and the Flags of the World Island. Enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sunset.
Start your tour with a visit to the Train Cemetery. See the 19th-century locomotives that remind you of old times. This beautiful spot is excellent for photographers.
Next, head to Colchani. Visit the Rosario Cooperative, a salt iodization plant located on the edge of the salt flats. Observe the methods of salt extraction and process. Also, see the Salt Artisanal Market (Llama clothes - salt handicrafts) and a small salt museum.
Continue to the Uyuni Salt Flats. With 3665 meters of altitude and an extension of 12,000 km2, the journey through the salt flats provides a dazzling and incomparable landscape. Also, visit the salt eyes, salt and take beautiful photos.
Visit the Museum - Salt Hotel, an unusual construction built entirely of salt blocks. Next, see the Dakar Monument and the Flags of the World Island, where you can bring your own flag and put it there for free.
Head to Incahuasi Island, located in the center of the salt flats. This island is like an Oasis of an exclusive and isolated ecosystem, and is inhabited by cactus from 1 to 4 meters high. Incahuasi Island is considered an excellent spot by photographers, as well as a place to rest, with the impressive landscape of the majestic Uyuni Salt Flats.
Finally, enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine and return to the Uyuni city at approximately 07:15 p.m.
