- Experience life in a small town with a rich history.
Description
Our tour starts by picking you up in the historic centre of Uyuni and takes you in comfortable air-conditioned private transport to Pulacayo, which is located 10 km from Uyuni. You will be accompanied by a professional guide who speaks English or Spanish (depending on your preference).
It's an amazing opportunity to spot llamas and enjoy the breathtaking Andean landscapes. Once we arrive at the Mirador, you will be able to take pictures of the impressive Salar de Uyuni and the town of Uyuni.
Our tour continues to the historic town of Pulacayo, where we will take a short walk to the open museum of old trains that were the first to arrive in Bolivia. Six locomotives were built exclusively for this stretch, two English and four American.
After a quick refreshment, we will continue our walk to visit the old streets which were built in German and English style. This is because the company was run by foreigners at the time, which is why the houses that still stand are testimony to the former importance of the place. After enjoying a cup of hot tea, we will take you back to Uyuni in our private transport.
