With a bilingual English–Spanish guide, you'll discover three unique islands that offer rich culture and stunning scenery, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Day 1: Set off on a scenic boat ride to the Uros Floating Islands, where you'll meet the Uru people, whose fascinating lifestyle is centered around their floating reed islands. Immerse yourself in their ancient traditions and learn about their incredible reed craftsmanship. Then, continue your journey with a serene three-hour cruise to Amantaní Island, home to a warm Quechua community. Enjoy a rustic lunch with your host family before embarking on an afternoon hike to the island's peak (~4,130 m). Visit sacred hilltop temples and marvel at the breathtaking sunset over the lake. After a delicious dinner with your hosts, enjoy an enchanting folkloric dance night, a lively cultural exchange that will have you dancing alongside the locals.
Day 2: After a hearty breakfast, bid farewell to your hosts and head to Taquile Island. A short hike takes you to the island’s main plaza, where you'll meet artisans renowned for their intricate handwoven textiles, a craft honored by UNESCO. Wander through the village, discovering beautiful creations that reflect centuries-old traditions. Indulge in a delicious lunch with panoramic views of the lake, featuring fresh trout – a local specialty. To wrap up your unforgettable journey, descend the ancient stone steps to the pier and board the boat back to Puno, arriving in the mid-afternoon (around 3 pm) with a heart full of memories and a camera full of incredible photos.
