Description

Start with pickup from your accommodation in Cusco’s historic center at 9:00 p.m. Rest overnight on a sleeper bus with 160-degree reclining seats. Arrive in Puno early in the morning, enjoy a tasty breakfast and have the chance to shower before heading to the port. Board a speedboat for the short transfer to Uros Island. Enjoy views of rugged mountain ranges and high plateaus, which provide a dramatic backdrop to the lake’s sparkling waters. You’ll be greeted by a local Uros Island family and hear about their traditions, customs, and way of life. Take a speedboat to Taquile Island and admire its rolling hills and terraced fields, with sheer cliffs that plunge to the shores of Lake Titicaca. Stop at traditional markets, where you can photograph the colorful produce and purchase artisanal souvenirs. Sit down for lunch with a local family brimming with regional flavors. You will have the afternoon free to explore Puno's historic center. Board the sleeper bus at 9:00 PM and travel all night on the sleeper bus to arrive back at your hotel in Cusco early in the morning.
