Description
Explore the Route of the Sun on a 3-day tour from Cusco. Visit the Church of San Pedro Apostol, the Temple of Wiracocha, and the Pukara Museum. Discover the Floating Islands of the Uros and Taquile, and Amantani Island.
Day 1: Route of the Sun
Depart from Cusco and stop in Andahuaylillas to visit the Church of San Pedro Apostol, known as the 'Sistine Chapel of America.' Continue to Raqchi to visit the Temple of Wiracocha, an ancient Inca structure.
Enjoy lunch in Sicuani and stop at La Raya, the highest point of the trip (4,335 meters above sea level), with stunning views of the Andes. Visit the Pukara Museum, famous for its pre-Inca sculptures and ceramics. Arrive in Puno and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Lake Titicaca - Floating Islands of the Uros and Taquile
Transfer to the port and board a boat to the Floating Islands of the Uros. Visit the Uros Islands and interact with local families living on islands made of totora reeds.
Navigate to Taquile Island and hike to the top of the island for scenic views and to explore local culture. Enjoy a traditional lunch on the island and free time to stroll around and enjoy its crafts.
Day 3: Amantani Island & Return to Puno
Depart from Puno by boat to Amantani Island. Hike up to the Pachamama and Pachatata temples, offering breathtaking views of Lake Titicaca and the surrounding mountains.
Experience local culture with a visit to a traditional family home on the island. Learn about the islanders' way of life, their customs, and local crafts. Enjoy a typical lunch with a local family, featuring traditional dishes of the island.
Depart Amantani Island and head back to Puno by boat. Arrive in Puno and end the tour.

- Passport or ID card is required.
It is recommended to acclimatize in Cusco or Puno at least 2 days before the tour to avoid altitude sickness.
