Discover the Colca Canyon on a 2-day tour from Arequipa. See the flight of the condor, visit the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque, and relax in the thermal baths of La Calera. End your tour in Puno. DAY 1: AREQUIPA / CHIVAY Start your tour with a pick-up from your hotel in Arequipa. Travel to one of the deepest canyons in the world. Take the Yura highway, bordering the snowy Chachani towards Pampa Cañahuas (Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve) habitat of the beautiful South American camelids: the vicuñas, llamas, alpacas. In the Tocra Bofedales, see a variety of migratory birds, and if you are lucky, see the flamingos. Pass through the crater of an extinct volcano (Chucura). Stop at the viewpoint of the volcanoes, which is also the highest area of the road (4,910 masl) from where you will appreciate much of the western mountain range. Arrive at the Colca Valley where you will settle in your hotel in Chivay or around Yanque, Coporaque enchanted little bird, and then have lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy the thermal baths in La Calera whose thermo medicinal waters range from 35º to 38º degrees Celsius. Have dinner accompanied by a folkloric show with typical dances of the Area. DAY 2: CHIVAY / CRUZ DEL CONDOR / CHIVAY / PUNO Start the day early to appreciate the flight of the condor. Breakfast will be at your hotel or hostel. Go to the viewpoint of the cross of the condor, strategic observation point of the canyon and the spectacular flight of the condor. Upon return, stop at the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque; They have beautiful colonial churches, as well as in the viewpoints of Choquetico and Antahuilque, from where you will observe the impressive terraces of the valley, the pre-Inca tombs, and models. Return to Chivay where there are restaurants for lunch. Depart with direction to the city of Puno and on the route make 2 stops in tourist places such as; Patapampa and Lagunillas. In total make a total tour of 06 hours arriving in Puno (Lake Titicaca).
