Description

Embark on a thrilling bike ride on the Death Road in Bolivia. Start at La Cumbre at 4,700 meters and descend to Yolosita at 1,200 meters. Enjoy a buffet lunch and a swim in a pool at the end of the tour. Meet your guide and get fitted for your bike before setting off on your adventure. Start at La Cumbre at 4,700 meters with a view of amazing snow-covered peaks. The first part is a descent on a paved road, which helps you get used to the bike. Pass by some small villages along the way. Take a break to rest and take photos. Continue to Chuspipata, which is the beginning point of the actual Death Road. Notice the change of scenery, with lots of vegetation and trees. Ride through some mist and low clouds on a dirt road. As you go down, the weather changes from cold to warm. Go under some amazing small waterfalls and some tiny rivers, so don’t doubt you will get wet. By the time you get to the end, the weather will significantly change to very hot, as Yolosita, the place where you finish, is at 1,200 meters and is the entrance of the Bolivian Amazon. Be dirty and very hot, wishing to refresh somewhere nice.
