UYUNI SALT FLAT 3 NIGHTS 4 DAYS WITH HOTELS

Potosí Department, Bolivia

The Salar de Uyuni, located in southwestern Bolivia, is the largest salt flat in the world and an impressive natural spectacle.

Experience a 4-day guided tour of Bolivia's Salar de Uyuni and surrounding natural landmarks suitable for nature and adventure enthusiasts.

This tour begins with a pickup from your hotel at 7:30 AM and a transfer by shared minibus to Hito Cajon, the Chile-Bolivia border. You will explore the Eduardo Abaroa Reserve (REA), known for its high-altitude volcanic landscapes and colorful lagoons where three flamingo species breed. The reserve features hot springs, geothermal geysers, and diverse flora and fauna of the Bolivian Altiplano. Overnight accommodation is included.

On day two, departing at 8:30 AM, you will visit the Siloli Desert to see natural rock formations like the Stone Tree. The tour continues to several highland lagoons—Chiarcota, Honda, Hedionda, and Cañapa—home to thousands of flamingos and other bird species. You will pass through typical Andean villages and salt flats before staying overnight at a local hotel.

Day three starts early at 5:00 AM with a visit to the Galaxia Caves, featuring unique limestone formations. Then you will enter the Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat at over 3,600 meters elevation and more than 12,000 km² in area. Highlights include Incahuasi Island (Isla Pescado) with giant cacti and panoramic views, the Salt Museum, Ojos del Salar, and Colcachi. Overnight accommodation will be on the shores of the salt flat.

The final day begins at 7:00 AM with a visit to the Train Cemetery, where old locomotives and wagons are exhibited. The tour then returns to Hito Cajon and transfers you back by minibus to San Pedro de Atacama, expected around 4:00 PM.
