Description
Your tour begins at the Salty Desert office in Uyuni, departing at 10:00 AM. Visit the historic Train Cemetery to see rusting locomotives. Proceed to Colchani Village to learn traditional salt extraction before crossing the vast Uyuni Salt Flats. Stop at Playa Blanca Salt Museum and the Salt Dakar Monument. After lunch, enjoy perspective photography at the heart of the salt flats, with possible sunset views depending on the season.
On day two, after breakfast, visit Salar de Chiguana and the Ollague volcano viewpoint. Observe flamingos at lakes Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarkota. Continue through the Siloli Desert to the Stone Tree rock formation. End the day at Laguna Colorada, noted for its red waters and flamingo populations.
Day three starts early with a visit to Sol de Mañana geysers, followed by a soak in Polques hot springs. Explore the surreal Salvador Dalí Desert before finishing at Laguna Verde. Return options include Uyuni or onward travel to San Pedro de Atacama, Chile.
