Tour Description

The tour begins early in the morning with transport from La Paz to La Cumbre at 4,700 meters above sea level. The route descends over several stages:

  • Stage 1: A 22 km paved road descent where cyclists acclimate to their bikes. At the police checkpoint (after 45 minutes), a Bs. 50 national park entrance fee is required. A support van follows the group, with stops for water, photos, and bike inspection.
  • Stage 2: Approximately 10 km along the 'Death Road' done as a compact group for safety. A snack break includes chocolate, fruit, and more.
  • Stage 3: Around 32 km including a stop for a waterfall dip. The ride ends in Yolosa, with access to a hotel offering showers, a swimming pool, and lunch.

Return to La Paz begins around 5:00 pm via a new road.
