Description
The tour starts with pickup from your hotel, airport, or bus terminal in Cochabamba. Begin at La Angostura Dam to enjoy the scenery and optional boat rides. Next, visit Tarata to explore its colonial architecture, the main square Plaza Aroma, and climb to La Torre viewpoint for panoramic views. Afterward, stop at Melgarejo Bridge and Portón Tarateño for lunch.
In the afternoon, continue to Huayculi to participate in pottery-making workshops and connect with local artisan traditions. Then visit Punata’s main square and the Chicha Museum to learn about the traditional beverage's history and production. Also in Punata, discover how the unique Cochabamba rosquete is made. Finally, visit Arani’s main square and a bread factory to learn traditional baking techniques before returning to Cochabamba.
