Your tour starts with hotel pickup in Puno, followed by a transfer to the Lake Titicaca port. Board a speedboat for a 30-minute ride to the Uros Floating Islands, made from totora reeds.
Meet the island's residents to learn about their history, lifestyle, and traditions, including how the islands are built and maintained. You may opt for a traditional totora reed boat ride.
Next, travel 1.5 hours by boat to Taquile Island. On arrival, take a moderate hike along scenic trails to the main village, where you will learn about the island’s social organization and its UNESCO-recognized textile heritage.
Enjoy a typical lunch featuring trout or quinoa at a communal restaurant. After lunch, explore the island on your own or shop for local crafts before returning to Puno by boat in the late afternoon.
