Itinerary

Day 1: Pickup from downtown Puno hotels starts at 5:50 AM. Travel for six hours with stops to observe Andean camelids, small lakes, natural villages, and the Volcanoes Vantage Point at Patapampa.

Arrive in Colca Canyon area at 12:15 PM and check in to the hotel. Free time for lunch follows. In the afternoon, join another guide’s group to continue the program.

At 3:00 PM, optionally visit the Chacapi hot springs for around 1.5 hours. Return to the hotel by 5:30 PM. An optional dinner with folk dances is offered at 7:00 PM at an additional cost. Overnight in Colca Canyon.

Day 2: Early breakfast is prepared around 5:50 AM. Pickup from Chivay hotels is at approximately 6:30 AM to visit key Colca Canyon sites.

Visit Cruz del Condor vantage point to see the canyon depth and condors in flight. Explore additional viewpoints such as Wayrapunko and Antahuilque to view agricultural terraces.

Stop at the village of Maca to see local products and traditional clothing. Return to Chivay for lunch around 12:00 PM, with an optional buffet lunch available at extra cost.

Begin return to Arequipa with short stops along the way. Arrive in Arequipa near Plaza de Armas around 4:30 PM, where the tour ends.

  • Accommodation in Chivay (booking in advance recommended). Hotels near town avoid extra taxi charges.
