Description
Day 1: You will be picked up from your hotel in La Paz for a transfer to the airport and a 45-minute flight to Uyuni. Upon arrival, your private guide will meet you. Visit the train cemetery, an open-air museum of old trains, and explore artisanal salt shops.
Explore the Uyuni salt flat, salt constructions, and Incahuasi Island. Enjoy a local lunch with views of the salt desert. Experience the sunset over the salt flats accompanied by a toast with local wines. Later, stargaze with countless stars reflecting on the salt desert. Overnight stay at the Uyuni Atipax Salt Hotel.
Day 2: Travel northwest of the salt desert to visit the Tunupa volcano. From the summit, admire panoramic views of the Uyuni salt flat. Observe pink flamingos, herds of llamas, and vicuñas while learning about local history from your guide.
Visit the Aymara mummies in the volcano caves, explore Aymara ruins, and the nearby museums. Enjoy a private lunch with views of the volcano and the salt desert, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Return to Uyuni for an overnight stay at the salt hotel.
Day 3: Transfer to the airport for a flight back to La Paz. After the 45-minute flight, you will be picked up at La Paz airport and transferred to your hotel.
