Description

This two-day tour starts with a hotel pickup in Arequipa, followed by a scenic drive through the Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve, home to vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas. You will pass by the extinct Chucura volcano and reach a high viewpoint at 4,910 meters above sea level overlooking the western mountain range.

Arriving in the Colca Valley, you will settle in a hotel in Chivay or nearby towns such as Yanque or Coporaque (hotel costs not included). After lunch, enjoy the thermal baths at Chacapi, where water temperatures range from 35 to 38 degrees Celsius.

In the evening, you may attend a folkloric dinner show featuring typical regional dances (at an additional cost). The overnight stay will be at your hotel in the Colca Valley.

On day two, start early to witness the flight of the condor at Cruz del Condor viewpoint, a prime location for observing these birds. Optional hike near the viewpoint is available depending on weather conditions.

Following this, visit the colonial towns of Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque, each with notable churches and cultural sites. View terraces, pre-Inca tombs, and archaeological models at Choquetico and Antahuilque viewpoints.

Return to Chivay for lunch before traveling back to Arequipa, arriving around 4:30 pm. There is an option to end the tour in Puno instead of Arequipa for an extra bus ticket cost; departures from Chivay to Puno are coordinated through the agency.
