2-DAY LAKE TITICACA, COPACABANA & SUN ISLAND ADVENTURE
Discover the beauty, history, and culture of Lake Titicaca on a shared 2-day journey from La Paz. Explore Copacabana, travel by boat to the southern side of Sun Island, visit important Inca sites, and spend one night surrounded by spectacular Andean landscapes.
DAY 1 – LA PAZ, COPACABANA & SUN ISLAND
Begin your adventure at approximately 7:00 AM with pickup from hotels located in central La Paz. Travel by shared transportation through the Bolivian Altiplano toward Lake Titicaca.
Cross the Tiquina Strait and continue toward Copacabana, one of the most important towns on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Explore Copacabana and visit the famous Basilica, the local market, and the traditional handicraft market. Enjoy the atmosphere of this lakeside town before continuing to the port.
Board a boat and travel across Lake Titicaca to the southern side of Sun Island, one of the most important cultural and historical destinations in the region.
Explore Sun Island and discover the Sacred Fountain of the Incas and the famous Inca Steps while your bilingual guide shares the history and traditions of the island.
Enjoy the included meals and spend the night at your accommodation on Sun Island.
DAY 2 – SUN ISLAND, PILCOCAINA, COPACABANA & LA PAZ
Begin your second day on Sun Island and continue exploring its beautiful landscapes and archaeological heritage.
Visit the Pilcocaina Temple, an important Inca archaeological site located on the southern side of Sun Island. Learn about its history and significance while enjoying impressive views across Lake Titicaca.
After your visit, board the boat and travel back across Lake Titicaca to Copacabana.
Enjoy time in Copacabana and an included meal before beginning your journey back to La Paz.
RETURN TO LA PAZ
Leave the Lake Titicaca region and travel through the landscapes of the Bolivian Altiplano back to La Paz.
Arrive in La Paz at approximately 5:30 PM at the Basílica Menor Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles (San Francisco), where your shared 2-day Lake Titicaca, Copacabana, and Sun Island journey comes to an end.
