Description
Discover a different side to the Bolivian Andes on this experience that combines history, culture, and high-mountain landscapes. The tour begins in the Milluni region, where you'll learn about part of the area's mining history and visit the Milluni Lagoon and the historic Alto Milluni Cemetery, which bear witness to the region's mining past.
You'll also have the chance to stop at the Milluni Craft Center, where women from the community display locally made textiles, handicrafts, and souvenirs.
Afterwards, we'll head to the Charquini Valley to start a mountain hike surrounded by spectacular Andean landscapes. The trail leads to the stunning Esmeralda Lagoon, famous for its turquoise waters and natural surroundings. During the excursion, you will reach more than 5,000 meters above sea level, making this experience one of the most memorable day adventures near La Paz.
