We had a wonderful stay at Ernesto’s place. His kindness and hospitality made us feel truly welcome, and we loved experiencing his beautiful home. Our stay at this charming boutique hotel La Casa de Teresita in La Paz was truly memorable. The property itself is unique—it was once a grand mansion that the owner thoughtfully transformed into an intimate boutique hotel with just nine rooms. The atmosphere still reflects the elegance of its past, especially in the beautiful living room where two grand pianos add a touch of sophistication and character. One of the highlights of the hotel is its large courtyard, a peaceful space where guests can sit, relax, and appreciate the beauty of the surrounding nature. It creates a tranquil retreat from the bustle of the city. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. While the amenities were somewhat limited, everything was well maintained and perfectly adequate for a pleasant stay. The hotel is also located in a safe and quiet neighbourhood, which made it easy to explore the area with peace of mind. What truly sets this hotel apart is the owner. He was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay enjoyable. He went out of his way to help us plan our time in La Paz, recommending places to visit and patiently explaining how to get to each destination. His hospitality made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was included and was both generous and satisfying. A particular highlight was the glass of freshly squeezed juice each morning. The meal also included plenty of bread and eggs cooked exactly to our preference, making for a great start to the day. Overall, this was a wonderful and memorable place to stay. The combination of a unique historic setting, warm hospitality, and a peaceful atmosphere made our time here in La Paz especially special.
La Casa Teresita was wonderful, and Ernesto and the rest of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was clean, large, quiet, and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was delicious and the view was great.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at La Casa de Teresita. Much more than just a hotel, it is a true museum filled with history, where impeccable cleanliness and calm prevail. Ernesto, the owner, is of a rare kindness. He is a passionate host who taught us so much about the history of Bolivia and Latin America; every conversation with him was personally enriching. It was also an immense joy to have Preto, the property's dog, who greeted us with so much affection every single day. If you are looking for an authentic, serene, and culturally rich place, this is the perfect address. Thank you, Ernesto, for such a warm welcome!
Beautiful and warm Bolivian house! The rooms are separate from the main house and open onto a large inner courtyard. The staff is very friendly — Ernesto took the time to explain the city to us and show us the hidden treasures of this historic house. The breakfast was delicious, the room spacious, and the beds extremely comfortable. I highly recommend this place!
