Gran Hotel Cochabamba

NOTE: this is a 3-star hotel at best. Although the staff was very friendly and accommodating, unfortunately that only goes so far. The good thing was that the rooms had AC. And the location is unbeatable. The cafe inside the lobby was nice and they have a very nice space with a good pool and maintained lawn. The rooms are very dated and not the cleanest. Beds were hard as a rock and the shower situation is a tripping hazard waiting to happen. To enter the elevated tub, you need to climb up it’s so tall. When exiting the shower, you are stepping down a massive step on a large tile floor that could potentially be wet. I’d stay here again because of the pros outweigh the cons for me personally

This is a nice hotel located in a perfect area to explore Cochabamba by walking. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Alao an excellent private hospital and nice pharmacy close by. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel breakfast was food. All staff were friendly. They only provided q complimentary bottle of drinking water for 2 people on the initial checkin day. All other bottles had to be purchased, which was a negative. Otherwise, would recommend the hotel.

Hotel lobby, pools, and meeting hall were well maintained. The rooms were dated with mattresses that were dated, the sheets and towels were stained, and mold on the shower. Don’t know if this was standard for accumulations in the area. Met our needs while there, but having traveled extensively around the world did not find that it merited a five star rating.
