Hostal Sonia is clean, comfortable and convenient. Showers were really hot. Nice seating area on each floor as well as in reception. Great breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
Clean hotel, comfortable and very friendly staff. The breafast is great with fresh fruits, eggs, bread and coffee.
The hotel is comfortable, clean, well organized, and the service is good. However, I had a serious issue with the payment. I paid in U.S. dollars and was later informed that one of the bills would not be accepted because it had a slightly damaged corner, which caused unnecessary inconvenience. Unfortunately, this is common in Bolivia: many hotels do not accept the local currency (bolivianos), and when they accept U.S. dollars, they require bills to be new and in perfect condition. This requirement is not clearly communicated in advance, so future guests should be aware and come prepared.
The host family is super friendly. The room and the bed linen are tidy, shower water is big and hot. There is even heater in the room. Breakfast is tasty with several fresh fruit, tea, fresh juice, bread and egg. The location is less than one hundred meters to the main plaza, and 10 minutes walking to the bus terminal.
