Discover the Uyuni Salt Flats on a 3-day tour from La Paz. See the Train Graveyard, the Dakar Monument, and the Flags of the World. Take a hike to the top of Incahuasi Island, and enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sunset over the salt flats. Day 1: La Paz to Uyuni Go to the bus office at 8:30 PM for check-in. Depart from La Paz to Uyuni at 9:00 PM. Enjoy dinner, breakfast, a bottle of water, a hot drink, heating, toilets, a polar blanket, Wi-Fi, and a first aid kit on board. Day 2: Uyuni Salt Flats Arrive in Uyuni City at 7:30 AM. Have free time to buy snacks, water, and more for your trip. Then, go to the office 1 block away from the bus station. Start your tour at 10:30 AM with a drive out to the Uyuni Salt Flats. The first stop is the haunting Train Graveyard, which is found on the outskirts of Uyuni. Then, visit the small settlement of Colchani, where you can find handicrafts made of salt and textile art manufactured from llama and alpaca wool. Take photos as you cruise along the vast white expanse of salt, wade through Ojos de Agua Salada, and visit a hotel made completely out of salt, which is currently used as a museum and restaurant. See the Flags of the World, where you can bring yours and put it there for free, and the Monument of Dakar Racing. After a morning of exploration, lunch will be served on the way. Then, take a hike to the top of Incahuasi Island to see giant cacti and rock formations made of petrified coral. Due to the rainy season from January to March, it is not possible to access Incahuasi Island. Next, take time to organize your group for fun perspective- and proportion-distorted photos, set on the blinding white surface of the salt flats. Finally, head to a spacious area for the unique experience of seeing a beautiful sunset over the salt flats, spreading its dazzling colors all over the Uyuni Salt Flats, and enjoy it with a glass of wine. Return to the office in Uyuni between 7:15 PM and 7:45 PM. Then, head to the bus office on your own by 8:30 PM. Depart from Uyuni to La Paz at 9:00 PM.
